The Basics of Pistol Shooting - Blended course consists of an easy-to-understand self-learning component (Basics of Pistol Shooting Online Course) which allows the student to complete this module at their own pace and learn from the comfort of their home. The course includes 11 lessons and takes approximately eight (8) hours to complete. Upon successful completion of the self-learning module, the student can schedule the practical session with an NRA Certified Instructor - Pistol.
The *Practical Session is scheduled for five (5) hour time blocks. The number of seats available for each session is one (1). This allows for a more personal and more effective training experience during the dry-fire and live-fire exercises. I will conduct courses with larger groups, please contact me.
*Courses are scheduled on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of the week.
Equipment: All safety equipment, ammunition, pistols, targets, etc. will be provided. If you own shooting glasses or ear protection, you can also bring them if you prefer to use your own.
Personal Firearms: If you have a personally owned firearm in which you wish to use during the course, please let me know the make, model and caliber. You will need to supply at least fifty (50) rounds of ammunition for the gun.
Clothing: Please wear closed toe shoes (no flip flops or sandals), a crew neck (T-shirt) or button-up shirt (no low-cut neckline). Long pants are recommended, but not required. You may also want to bring a baseball cap or a billed hat. During the live fire exercises, there will be hot brass being ejected from the pistols which may bounce onto you. This clothing will offer you the best protection.
